Far above the chaos, stillness enfolds like the womb
Nothing to disturb the thoughts of finality, the tomb
Crisp clear air, with perfume of lotus blossoms and sage
What peace this lofty refuge gives a soul at my age

Wisdom and knowledge come together in this place
The two too often are juxtaposed, what a disgrace
Long have I lived and long have I seen evil wrought
Life must be lived with reverence, it cannot be bought

Too often now lives are lived out before their time
Too often the pace is more hateful than sublime
Climb up here with me and see the freedom wisdom gains
Slow down hurried friend and enjoy life sans the pains
